Mitchell Anderson

About

Hi, I'm Mitch.

Woodland Mist Photography

I'm a Riverside-based wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience documenting love stories across Southern California. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive — I'm not here to direct a photoshoot, I'm here to chase the real moments as they happen. The ones you'll want to relive for the rest of your life.

Wedding Photography Across Southern California

Based in Riverside, I photograph weddings throughout Southern California — from the vineyards of Temecula to the deserts of Palm Springs and the beaches of Orange County. Travel is included throughout the region, so wherever you're celebrating, I'd love to be there.

The regions:

Riverside & the Inland Empire
Wedding photography in Riverside, Corona, Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Moreno Valley, and the surrounding Inland Empire.

Temecula & Wine Country
From Galway Downs to the wineries of De Portola and Rancho California Road, capturing Temecula vineyard and wine country weddings.

Palm Springs & the Coachella Valley
Mid-century modern estates, desert ceremonies, and golden hour portraits across Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Indio.

Joshua Tree & the High Desert
Boulder-strewn elopements and intimate desert weddings in Joshua Tree National Park and the surrounding high desert.

Orange County
Coastal weddings from Laguna Beach to Newport, Crystal Cove, and the Orange County hills.

San Diego County
Beachfront ceremonies, garden venues, and weddings throughout San Diego, La Jolla, and Carlsbad.

Big Bear & the Mountains
Lakefront and forest weddings in Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, and the San Bernardino Mountains.

What Couples Are Saying

★★★★★

“Mitch is not only a talented artist, but a breeze to work with. He even served as our witness for the elopement he captured. He had a sneak peek gallery ready just 8 days after our session — in time for our reception party. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

Brittany · Joshua Tree Elopement

★★★★★

“I loved working with Mitch! My husband and I don’t have much experience being in front of a camera, but Mitch made us feel comfortable and helped us pose and picked the best spots for photos. Our photos came out amazing! He really has a creative eye and I appreciate his attention to detail. Thanks Mitch!”

Jenny · Wedding 2023

★★★★★

“My husband and I are both awkward when it comes to photos and Mitch makes our photos look effortless. He was super professional and really chill to work with. If I could put 1000 stars I would.”

FAQS

Wedding Photography FAQs

1. How many hours of wedding photography coverage do we need?

Most couples book between 4 and 8 hours depending on their timeline. Half-day coverage typically focuses on the ceremony and portraits, while full-day coverage includes getting ready, first look, ceremony, portraits, and reception. If you're not sure what fits your day, reach out and we'll talk through your timeline.

2. Do you photograph weddings in Riverside and Southern California?

Yes. I'm based in Riverside, CA and photograph weddings throughout Southern California, including the Inland Empire, Temecula, Palm Springs, Coachella Valley, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, Orange County, and San Diego.

3. What is your photography style?

My approach is natural and candid. I focus on real moments as they happen, while also guiding you when needed so your photos feel relaxed and authentic.

4. Do you help with posing during portraits?

Yes. I give simple direction so you never feel awkward, but I avoid overly stiff posing. The goal is to capture genuine connection, not forced moments.

5. What is a first look, and should we do one?

A first look is when you see each other before the ceremony. It allows for more relaxed portraits and can help with timeline flexibility, but it's completely optional.

6. How long does it take to receive our photos?

Sneak peek images are delivered within 48 hours of your wedding. Your full edited gallery is delivered within 2 to 4 weeks.

7. How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, but most couples receive several hundred fully edited images that tell the complete story of the day.

8. Do you travel for weddings?

Travel is included throughout Southern California, which covers Riverside, the Inland Empire, Orange County, Palm Springs, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, and surrounding areas. For weddings beyond Southern California, reach out and we'll quote travel separately.
